Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) As the first track suggests, this album deals with near-death experiences - one of the favorite topics of prog epics. The undisclosed artist known as "The Psychedelic Ensemble" processes the surrounding myths and secrets in his typical polyphonic way, using lots of sublime neo-baroque keyboard and guitar counterpoints, with pleasant flashbacks to Emersonian tradition. Alas, the album loses grip as soon as the devil starts to sing the blues, and unfortunately doesn't recover fully from then on. Favorite track: The Visions of Eternity.
